How to Make Dirt Pudding Pie

Pudding pie filling: Whisk the milk and instant pudding mix in a large bowl until it thickens. Fold in the whipped topping and then spread the filling in the Oreo crust.

Decorate! Sprinkle the crushed Oreos over the top of the pudding layer. Arrange the gummy worms on top.

Chill: Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least one hour before slicing and serving it.

Can you use whipped cream instead of Cool Whip?

Yes, you can use the same amount of whipped cream for this recipe.

Can you make it ahead?

Yes, you can make the crust and filling up to a day in advance. I recommend waiting to add the crushed cookies and gummy candy until you’re ready to serve it. That way the cookie crumb topping won’t soften in the fridge.

Can you use this recipe to make dirt pie pudding cups?

If you don’t want a whole pie and want to make dirt cups instead, you can adjust this recipe.

You don’t need to make the Oreo crust. Instead, spoon the chocolate pudding into small plastic cups. Sprinkle crushed Oreos over the top and add a gummy worm or two for decoration.
