Easy, healthy and delicious Frozen Yogurt Bites are the perfect snack or dessert for summer! With only a couple ingredients they are refreshing and the best little treat to keep stocked in your freezer all summer.
Yogurt is one of my favorite snacks for the kiddos and it’s fun to put a spin on it! We love to make yogurt bark, and Greek yogurt berry popsicles, and these frozen yogurt bites are a new favorite! They’re easy to make and fun to decorate with different toppings.

Easy Frozen Treat for Summer
My favorite kinds of kid-friendly snacks are simple ones the littles can help make! These yogurt bites are so easy they can make them by themselves.
They’re also a fun way to have fruit for a snack, too. Sometimes it’s a challenge to get the kids to have a handful of berries, but if we use them to decorate these frozen yogurt bites there are no complaints!
Or you can top them with other things like chocolate chips, granola, or even candy. We like to do a mix of toppings so everyone has several to choose from.
Make a batch, pop them in the freezer, and you’ll have an easy healthy snack on hand. I can’t wait for you to try them!
Ingredients for Frozen Yogurt Bites
- Yogurt – I like to use Greek yogurt because it’s thick and freezes well. We love vanilla yogurt, but you can use any flavor you like for this recipe!
- Fresh fruit – We love strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, peaches, and bananas.
- Other toppings – Granola makes a great topping or try chocolate chips. Other baking chips or baking bits will work, too. Or, for a special treat, try chopped candy bars or crushed cookies.
Helpful Tools to Make Frozen Yogurt Bites
How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bites
- Spoon the yogurt into the mini muffin pan. Leave some space to add the toppings – filling them about 3/4 full works great.
- Top the yogurt with toppings of your choice.
- Freeze the yogurt bites for three to four hours.
- Take the pan out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about five minutes. Take the frozen yogurt bites out of the pan and place them on a sheet pan. Place it in the freezer until the bites are frozen solid again.
- Transfer the yogurt bites to a freezer-safe container until you’re ready to serve them.
Flavor Variations
With so many yogurt flavors available, the flavor combos are practically endless! So, have fun mixing and matching the toppings with the yogurt. Need some inspiration? Try these combos!
- Peaches and Cream: Combine vanilla Greek yogurt with chopped peaches.
- Lemon Pie: Use lemon yogurt and add a layer of crushed graham crackers on top.
- Very Berry: Pick your favorite berry flavored yogurt and top it with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries.
- Banana Nut: Banana yogurt, sliced banana, and a sprinkle of granola!
- Chocolate Strawberry: Pair strawberry yogurt and chocolate chips!
- Cookies and cream: Top vanilla yogurt with crushed Oreos.
- Banana Cream: Vanilla yogurt, sliced banana, and a sprinkle of crushed Nilla wafers.
These are just a few ideas so be sure to tell me your favorite combo in the comments! I’d love to know your favorite combination.
Storage Tips
This is the perfect make-ahead snack because you can make a big batch and keep them in the freezer.
Don’t place the individual yogurt bites in a freezer bag or container until they are completely frozen. That way they won’t stick to each other.
Keep them in the coldest part of your freezer away from the door. That way, they’ll stay frozen and keep well for up to two months.
These frozen yogurt bites will be a winner at your house like they are at ours. Cold, creamy, and fruity – the perfect easy summer snack!
