Supplies Needed

  • Printer – Print each page in black and white! If you do not have a printer at home, then you can check with your local library or office supply store to see if they have printing services available to the public.
  • Paper Plain computer paper is all that you need to print these 5 U.S. regions worksheets. However, if you’d like them to be more sturdy then you can use some white cardstock.
  • Writing utensils – For tracing, I recommend using pencils so that it is easy to erase any mistakes. But you can use anything that you have on hand.
  • Coloring supplies – Grab those colored pencils, crayons, markers, or twistable crayons! Once you’re done matching the letters on the matching game, you can color the maps!

What are the regions of the United States?

The five main regions of the U.S. are the Midwest, Northeast, South (or Southeast region), Southwest, and the West. Some people divide the United States into four regions instead of five, but the general areas are still the same!

What’s Included in this Regions of the United States Worksheets Packet

These worksheets included two different ways to learn about the regions of the United States. There are pages to trace the names of each state, but also blank maps with letters on each state that students will need to match to the correct state name! It’s a great geography lesson, as well as handwriting practice. There is also an answer key for the matching game so that it is easy to check work on these social studies worksheets!
