These reindeer pretzels are so fun to make and are great for gifting or as a sweet and salty snack for holiday parties. You will love how easy they are to make. Be sure to set aside time this holiday season to make a batch of these sweet reindeer pretzel treats! Kids and adults alike will love them. The salty pretzels work so well with the chocolate-caramely flavor of crowd-pleasing Rolo candies, you’ll wonder why you’ve never had this combo before. Add in some candy eyes and a red nose to complete Rudolph’s transformation. This salty-sweet reindeer treat is peanut free so it’s safe for the kids to bring to school to share when their class has a holiday party, too. Easy to put together and easy to feed a crowd? Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • This is the best sweet snack to make with kids because they’re super easy. All you need are four simple ingredients to make this reindeer pretzel recipe.
  • They are Rolo pretzel reindeer – the chocolate caramel candy is warmed in the oven so it’s easy to add cute faces with other candy and pretzels.
  • Once made, they keep well at room temperature. Package them up in cute bags for holiday gifts or serve them on a platter for a fun Christmas party treat!

Ingredients For Reindeer Pretzels

  • Mini pretzels – Small pretzel twists make the best pretzel antlers.
  • Rolo candies – gotta love the chocolate caramel combo! Hershey Kisses also work well if you can’t find Rolos
  • Candy eyes – Look for candy eyeballs in the baking aisle near the sprinkles and other decorations.
  • Red candies – Small, round candies like M&Ms or other chocolate candy work great or try Red Hots.

How to Make Reindeer Pretzels

Use a sharp knife to cut half of the pretzels in half. I always cut a few extra pretzels in case any of them break while we’re assembling the reindeer. After you’ve cut the antlers, set them aside.

Place the rest of the pretzels on the baking sheet in an even layer. Place a Rolo on each pretzel.

In a preheated oven, bake the pretzels and Rolo candy for three minutes or until the chocolate is softened.

Take the pan out of the oven and, while the chocolate is soft, add the antlers, eyeballs, and red candy noses to each one.

Let them sit at room temperature on the cookie sheet until the chocolate is cooled. You can also chill them in the refrigerator.

Pro Tips

  • This is a quick recipe, so it’s a good idea to have all of the ingredients ready. I like to separate the candies into bowls before I do the baking part so that everything is ready and within reach when it’s time to decorate.
  • Once you’ve baked the chocolate you will want to get the decorations in place before it hardens. To make this easy, I assign different “jobs” to my kiddos – they can be in charge of placing the antlers, noses, or eyes on the melted chocolate. I’m always in charge of cutting the pretzels and baking the chocolate.
