I love a dessert recipe that is simple, pretty, and tasty! These flower pretzels are the perfect addition to any Easter dessert table, as a gift for kids to make for their mom for Mother’s Day, or just as a fun sweet treat. I especially love that I can easily make many different colors of flowers since there’s plenty of colors of M&M’s.

These M&M pretzel bites are a go-to easy recipe of mine. I love that they take just a few minutes to throw together. Perfect for any last minute “Oops! I forgot I’m bringing the dessert” moments! Ingredients for Flower Pretzels

  • Pretzels – Be sure you get the rectangle shaped pretzels (or mini pretzel twists) so you have plenty of surface area to make the flowers!
  • Easter M&M’s – You can find these on the seasonal aisle in your grocery store. If you’re not able to find them, regular M&M’s will work fine, your flowers just won’t be super “springy”.
  • White Candy Melts – White candy melts works easiest in this recipe, but if you can’t find them you could use white chocolate chips.

How to Make M&M Pretzel Bites

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly space pretzels in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Place one candy wafer melt on top of each pretzel. Pop them in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 minutes, just until the candy is slightly melted.

Place one color of Easter M&M in the center of your pretzel, this is the pistil. And then place six more M&M’s or a different color around it to create the flower petals!

Allow the pretzels to set for about 30 minutes at room temperature, serve on your favorite platter and enjoy!

How long do Flower Pretzels last?

You can store your salty and sweet flower pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for 7 days. If you want them to last a little longer, you can freeze them. Just leave the M and M pretzel flowers out for an hour or so to thaw before enjoying them.

Pro Tips for the best Flower Pretzels

  • Be sure to work quickly while decorating these spring flower pretzel bites so that the candy does not set before you place the M&M petals. If you are making these by yourself, work in batches and melt the candy 8-10 pretzels at a time.
  • Don’t overheat the candy melts! You want them to be just softened, not melted enough that they are dripping through the pretzel.
  • Separate your M&M’s by color into separate bowls before you decorate so you can easily find the color you are looking for.
