Ingredients Needed for Red White and Blue Bark

Ingredients

  • White chocolate chips or white candy melts – I prefer white chocolate chips because they have the best flavor, but candy melts are a little whiter so you can choose what you like best.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips – or try milk chocolate chips.
  • Red and blue M&Ms – or other chocolate candies.
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles – or other patriotic-themed sprinkles that you like.

Helpful Tools

How to Make Patriotic Bark

Melt: Place the white chocolate chips in bowl and melt them in the microwave. Melt the other chocolate chips in a separate bowl.

Spread: Pour the melted white chocolate onto a prepared sheet pan. Spread it into a thin, even layer.

Drizzle: Use a spoon or fork to drizzle the semi-sweet chocolate over the white chocolate.

Decorate! Sprinkle the M&Ms and sprinkles over the top of the chocolate.

Freeze: Place the pan in the freezer for at least 20 minutes so the chocolate can harden. Break the bark into pieces and store them in an airtight container.

How long does white chocolate bark keep?

I like to keep chocolate bark in the refrigerator – it stays nice and firm! Keep it in an airtight container and it will last for a week.

You can also store it at room temperature as long as it’s kept in a cool, dark place. If it’s warm, it will soften so that’s why I like the fridge.

What’s the easiest way to melt white chocolate?

The easiest way is in the microwave. Warm the chocolate in 30-second intervals and stir between each one until the chocolate is melted.

If you use white chocolate candy melts or white chocolate almond bark, follow the melting instructions on the package for the best result.
