Supplies Needed!

Trace and Cut Handprint

  • Trace child’s hand and part of their wrist on brown construction paper with pencil. If the child needs help, a parent or teacher can help trace.
  • Cut out the traced hand/wrist. This will be used for the tree trunk and branches.
  • Glue the handprint/trunk of the tree on the white construction paper or cardstock.

Paint Fall Tree

  • Clip the pom poms on each clothespin. You’ll want one pom pom and clothespin set up for each color of paint. We used yellow, red, orange and green paint.
  • Pour a small circle of paint onto the paper plate. Do this for each color. Feel free to color match pom poms to paint if desired.
  • Have the child dip the clothespin with the pom pom attached gently into the paint and stamp the paint onto the tree trunk. Repeat this process desired amount of times until the tree trunk/hand print is colored with fall colors.
  • Set aside to dry.
