  • Pure vanilla extract – Cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and a splash of vanilla — it makes for the perfect white frosting.
  • Powdered sugar – Sweeten the frosting and thicken it by using powdered sugar.

How to Make Easter Bunny Twists

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside to use later.
  2. Remove the cinnamon roll dough from the can and unroll each roll on a clean surface. You’ll need individual long strips. Grab the 2 ends of the dough and fold the narrow strips in half. This should put the cinnamon filling is in the middle. Press the halves together firmly.
  3. Place each roll in a U shape on the parchment lined baking sheet. Fold one side over the other and repeat two more times so that the ends are twisted three times.
  4. Press each twist firmly down on the baking sheet, then separate the end of each one to look like bunny ears.
  5. Place into a preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the top of the cinnamon rolls are a light golden brown.
  6. Pull the Easter bunny twists out of the oven and allow to cool completely. While cooling, make the frosting!
  7. Add room temperature cream cheese, room temp butter, powdered sugar and vanilla to a mixing bowl and beat together with a hand mixer or stand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  8. Once the Easter bunny twists have cooled, add a spoonful of frosting to the bottom of the twist to resemble a bunny tail!

  • 17.5 ounces Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls 5 count

Cream Cheese Tails

  • 3 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Take the rolls out of the can and unroll them onto a clean surface. Take the 2 ends of the dough and fold it in half so that the cinnamon filling is in the middle and press the two halves together.
  • To assemble the bunnies, first place a roll in a U shape on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Fold one side over the other and repeat two more times so the ends are twisted 3 times.
  • Press each twist firmly down on the prepared baking sheet and separate the end of the twists so that they look like bunny ears.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Take them out of the oven and let cool.
  • While they are cooling, in a medium mixing bowl add the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix with a hand held mixer until smooth. Once the twists are cool, put a spoon full of cream cheese topping on the bottom of the twists making it resemble a fluffy bunny tail.
