Themed food is so much especially when it’s easy to make like this No-Bake Patriotic Bark! With just a few ingredients this festive sweet and salty treat is easy to make, plus the kids can get involved in making it.

This is one of the first things that my daughter tackled on her own when it came to being in the kitchen. It’s pretty hard to mess up and they feel so independent.

With little hands you can just let them swirl the candy melts, sprinkle the toppings on, break it apart etc. There’s a way to get all the kids active in the kitchen no matter how old they are!

Steps to Prepare

  • Prep – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper with a little bit of overhang to lift the bark out of the pan when done.
  • Melt & Pour– Scoop or pour the melted red candy melts in medium-sized circles around the pan. Repeat this with the blue candy melts, so the colors are evenly dispersed. Repeat with the white candy melts, filling in any empty spaces.
  • Swirl – Using a rubber spatula, swirl the colors together. Do not mix them completely because you will end up with a brown color. You want there to be visible swirls of each color.
  • Top – Spread the pretzels and marshmallows out evenly across the bark. Sprinkle the 4th of July sprinkles.
  • Set – After the bark has completely set (it will be hard and less shiny than before), lift the parchment paper out of the baking sheet. Using your hands, break up the bark into big and small pieces.
