Ingredients for Mummy Brownies
- Brownies – Use a box mix, homemade recipe, or pick up some brownies in the bakery department at the grocery store!
- White frosting – Or use melted white chocolate to create the bandages for the mummies.
- Candy eyes – Look for them in the baking aisle, at craft store, or you can order them online.
Tip: If you want to use melted white chocolate instead of frosting, I recommend using white chocolate candy melts.
How to Make Mummy Brownies
- Spoon the frosting into a large resealable bag. Snip one bottom corner off so you can pipe the icing.
- Pipe the frosting in a zig zag pattern over the top of each brownie to create the bandages.
- Place the candy eyes for the finishing touch. Make sure to lightly press the eyes into the frosting so they stick.
- Let the brownies sit at room temperature until the frosting is set.
How to Store Leftover Brownies
You can make the brownies and decorated them a day ahead! Once the frosting is set, store them in an airtight container. Stack them with wax paper between each layer so they don’t stick to each other.
Mummy brownies will keep at room temperature for two to three days. Or, you can store them in the refrigerator for a few days longer.
Can you freeze mummy brownies?
Yes, they freeze well! Once the frosting has set, store them in a freezer container with wax paper separating the layers. They will keep well for up to a month. Thaw them at room temperature before serving them.
These Halloween mummy brownies will be the hit of the party! Give them a try this year – I know you’ll love how easy they are to make. Enjoy!
