What is the Grinch?
The Grinch is a character out of the Dr. Seuss book How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It’s a classic book made up of silly rhymes, made up words and wonderful characters just like you would expect from a Dr. Seuss book.
This heartwarming story about the effects of the Christmas spirit will grow even the coldest and smallest of hearts. Like mistletoe, candy canes, and caroling, the Grinch is a mainstay of the holidays, and his story is the perfect gift for readers young and old.

If you don’t have small popsicle sticks, simply break a regular sized one in half and use that.
Hot glue will dry the fastest and hold the best, but if you want your kids to assemble by themselves we recommend using Elmers Glue or Glue Dots to hold the popsicle sticks together.
Assemble the Grinch & Paint
- Evenly line up 7 regular size popsicle sticks.
- Using hot glue gun, run a line of hot glue the entire length of a small popsicle stick & press it horizontally onto one end of the 7 sticks – repeat this step on the other end as well.
- Flip the newly made board over and coat with an even layer of green paint.
- Let pain dry. It will take about 10 minutes if you do about 4 thin layers of paint.
Decorate
- Glue the eyes and nose in place.
- Using the black marker draw a smile or mouth.
- Use the pipe cleaner to form angry eyebrows and a sprig of hair and apply with glue.
