Instructions

  • Let’s start by taking a piece of card stock and folding it in half vertically. Once folded, trace your hand onto the paper. Try to get your thumb close to the fold. Once traced, cut the hand out using care to make a heart shape in the middle of the thumb and pointer finger. Make sure not to cut the fold, so the paper stays connected. Once cut, unfold the hand; you should see a heart in the center.
  • Cut a piece of Press'n Seal about a ¼ inch larger than the heart. Place the hands under the press n’ seal, centering it in the middle of the heart.
  • Grab some tissue paper and cut several small pieces. Use the small pieces by overlapping them on the press n seal until the heart is covered. Press to secure.
  • Next, place a thin layer of glue around the back of the heart and then lay it on top of the Press'n Seal so that the tissue paper shows through like a stained glass window.
  • Lastly, grab your favorite marker and personalize your Valentine's handprint craft!

Notes

  • Use glitter glue or craft glue and glitter to outline your words and give your craft a little extra pizzazz!
  • Grab some special Valentine's themed stickers and add them to your cute little craft.
  • Make multiple versions of this craft and personalize each one with different sayings so each friend or family member gets a special gift made just for them!
  • String them up with clothes pins and ribbon to make a Valentine's Day garland!
