Instructions

  • Begin by pouring a generous amount of the paint colors you will use for your flowers on a flat surface. We like to use a paper plate.
  • Now, take a toilet paper size cardboard roll and pinch one side. This will form a petal shape stamp.
  • Dip the cardboard roll into one of the paint colors then stamp on a sheet of cardstock.
  • Continue stamping around in a circle, with some of the stamps overlapping.
  • You can make these flowers larger or smaller depending on how you stamp.
  • Make more flowers using the same process until the sheet of cardstock is full.
  • Then, use your finger to swirl the paint in the center of each flower. You will want to clean the excess paint from your finger after each flower.
  • Finally, the last step is to draw stems for the flowers with a green marker.
  • There you have the best kind of spring flowers, in my opinion, that are made by you! Plus, it’s just a fun time with paint!

Notes

  • Use multiple different toilet paper rolls so that your colors don’t mix and bleed together.
  • Add some glitter or glitter glue to the center or each flower, or on the petals! It will be the perfect way to give your flower painting a little extra fun.
  • Feel free to glue 3D objects onto your flowers. You could place a fuzzy pom pom in the center, or glue a sparkly green pipe cleaner on the paper as a flower stem. Use your imagination and have fun!
