Toilet Paper Roll Butterfly Craft

Quick and easy butterfly craft that uses a toilet paper roll as the body!

Instructions

  • Place tube on cardstock and draw wings (do this before painting the body so you don’t have to wait for the paint to dry). Draw a small curve to connect the wings and leave room to attach the tube. Another option is to draw to hearts and glue the tips of them to the back of the toilet paper roll.
  • Paint the tube to make the butterfly body. You can either coordinate the color of your body and the wings or make them compliment.
  • Cut out wings, fold in half, and curl each side backwards just a little so they curve to hug the toilet paper roll.
  • Glue the body (toilet paper roll) to the wings, and add googly eyes and a mouth.
  • Decorate wings as desired.
  • Cut pipe cleaner to about 8”. Fold in half and curl each end to form antennae. Glue inside the tube.
