Instructions

  • Print your templates for the cape, hair, bangs, face, mask, and Super Mom logo. Trace each piece onto construction paper and carefully cut them out with scissors. Set the pieces aside.
  • Take a sheet of construction paper and trace it so it matches the size of the front of your paper lunch sack. Cut the paper to size and glue it to the front of the bag just below the flap. This will create the base for your superhero design.
  • Turn the bag over so the back side is facing up. Glue the cape piece onto the back of the bag so it looks like it is flowing behind your superhero.
  • Position the hairpiece so it sits along the top back edge of the bag. Glue it down and allow a moment for the glue to grab.
  • Flip the bag back to the front side. Glue the face template onto the flap of the bag.
  • Next, glue the mask directly onto the face piece. After that, glue the bangs just above the mask so they slightly overlap the top of the face.
  • Use markers to draw a nose and mouth on the face. Kids can also add freckles, eyelashes, or rosy cheeks if they want to personalize their superhero.
  • Cut out the Super Mom logo from your template and glue it to the center front of the bag below the flap.
  • Add googly eyes to the face using a small amount of glue.
  • Let the craft sit flat for about 10 minutes or until completely dry.
