Begin by painting the front of a brown paper lunch bag yellow. Let paint dry.

While the bag dries, trace the child's handprint on white paper or cardstock. Go back over the handprint in black marker.

Cut out the handprint and use the black marker to make a few lines coming up the handprint for detail on the "wings". You will need 4 handprints total, 2 for each side.

Glue 2 of the handprints together, side by side. Then glue the handprints to the side of the bag.

Repeat with the other 2 handprints on the other side of the bag.

Now, cut some strips of black paper. You will want the strips about 1” wide, and trim to the length of the bag. These are the bumble bee's stripes.

Glue the strips onto the bag, alternating the yellow with black to look like a bumble bee back. The last black strip should be just where the bag folds.

Next, glue 2 small googly eyes in place and draw a simple mouth with the black marker.

Finally, cut 2 thin small strips of black paper. Curl up the ends of the black strips using either your fingers or a pencil.

Glue those in place for the antennae.
