Ingredients
- Scrubber sponges plastic or stainless
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Paint Brush
- Paints I use green purple and blue but you can use the colors you want.
- Colored Pipe cleaner
- Colored Pom-poms
- Googly eyes
- Construction paper
- Scissor
- Glue
Instructions
- On a work surface, use a brush and paint the wooden sticks
- Take the pipe cleaner and shape them the way you want them. You can roll it around your finger or a pencil to make round shapes.
- Glue the pipe cleaner on the wooden stick (you can also tape it with scotch tape).
- With the scissor, Cut the construction paper to make the mouth.
- On top of the pipe cleaner, glue the scrubber sponges. Follow with the googly eyes and the mouth.
- At this time, you will need to way for the glue to dry out before continuing with the project. For faster results, you can also use a glue gun.
- Once the glue is dry, take more pipe cleaner and use them to make the arms, you can also use the pompoms to make it more fun. Simple roll the pipe cleaner around the pompoms. Insert the arms on both sides of the scrubber sponge.
- Get creative and have fun with these easy alien crafts!
Notes
- Add a small hole to the top of your alien and thread string through to make your alien a wall or ceiling decoration!
- Instead of using pipe cleaners as the arms, use sticks, straw, or anything else your can think of.
- Use multiple different colors of pipe cleaners and pom poms for a more whimsical look.
- If you’d like to make this craft a little less messy and easier, see if you can find pre-colored jumbo craft sticks.
