Servings: 1 Batch of Slime

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix 1 cup of Elmer’s school glue and 1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda in a large bowl until combined.
  • Next, add 1 tablespoon of contact solution and knead the mixture for a few minutes. If the mixture is still sticky, add an additional tablespoon of the contact solution gradually until the stickiness subsides.
  • Now let’s give our slime some color! Divide the slime equally. Add a few drops of food coloring to each ball of slime until the desired color is reached.
  • Your slime is ready for play! You can also place the slime in your favorite resealable container and give it as a gift!

Notes

  • Twist the different colors of slime for a fun tie-dye effect! The colors will eventually mix together, but it will look super cool until they do.
  • Use disposable gloves when you knead the food coloring into each mound of slime. It will protect your hands as you mix it in and they won’t end up dyed. Once the dye is mixed in well, it won’t transfer to your hands.
  • Be sure you play with your slime on a clean surface so that it doesn’t pick up debris and end up with things trapped inside it.
