Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1 Batch of Playdough

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces tub store-bought vanilla white frosting
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • Blue, red, yellow, and green food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  • Let’s start by placing your tub of white frosting into a large mixing bowl.
  • Next, add 2 cups of powdered sugar to the large bowl containing the white frosting and fold in with a rubber spatula. The mixture will be too sticky to mix with your hands at this point.
  • Once combined, add the remaining 2 cups of powdered sugar and continue to fold with the rubber spatula. Once the mixture begins to resemble dough, start to knead with your hands until the mixture is no longer sticky.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions. Then add a few drops of your favorite food color to each portion of the dough. Knead the dough until the color is thoroughly mixed. You can also leave the dough white.
  • Now it’s time to play and nibble on your edible dough!

Notes

  • Be sure your playing surface is clean! You don't want your dough to pick up crumbs or debris off of the table when you play. It could end up tasting funny.
  • Feel free to add in some edible glitter or top your dough balls with colorful rainbow sprinkles before you eat it.
  • Clean your play dough toys before using them to play with this dough. You won't want any regular play dough to contaminate the edible stuff!
