Instructions

  • Begin by cutting hearts from a sheet of cardstock. This should be a different color than pink or red, so that the hearts are easier to see. We used purple.
  • Fold the cardstock you’re using for your hearts in thirds and cut out multiple hearts in different sizes and shapes. We were able to get 5 hearts from our sheet.
  • Make sure the sheet that you’re cutting the hearts remains intact, so that you can use that for pom painting, as well.
  • Now, roll a small piece of clear tape and apply to the back of the hearts.
  • Lightly tape the hearts on a sheet of Valentine’s Day colored cardstock, either pink or red.
  • Next, insert a pom in a clothespin. We like using different sizes of poms.
  • Pour your paint on a flat surface, like a paper plate, or tray.
  • Dip the pom in the paint.
  • And begin stamping the pom around the hearts.
  • Continue stamping the poms with different colors of paint until your Valentine’s Day artwork is complete.
  • Then, lightly tape the edges of the sheet of cardstock with all the hearts cut out to another piece of cardstock.
  • And use the poms to stamp paint in the hearts.
  • Continue until all the hearts are filled in then peel back the heart outline paper to revel your finished project!
