Begin by tracing the little one’s handprints on a colorful sheet of cardstock. You will need 4 total handprints, so you can either trace 4 times or fold the cardstock and cut out double.
Also cut a rectangle strip from a different color of cardstock.
Position the handprints close together in a wing shape on a grey sheet of cardstock. Blue would also be nice.
Cut two very thin strips from the same color as the hands and glue to the top of the rectangle strip for antennae.
Then, glue the strip over the wrists of the handprints.
At this point, you can curl the ends of the antennae with your fingers. Then adhere googly eyes.
Now, punch circles using the different sizes of hole punches. We used the same color as the strip and a different color, too. But get creative!
Glue the circles on the wings.
Finish your beautiful spring keepsake butterfly by drawing a simple mouth with the black pen.
