Handprint Butterfly

Make a cute Handprint Butterfly for an easy no prep craft that is perfect for spring and summer!

Instructions

  • Begin by tracing the little one’s handprints on a colorful sheet of cardstock. You will need 4 total handprints, so you can either trace 4 times or fold the cardstock and cut out double.
  • Also cut a rectangle strip from a different color of cardstock.
  • Position the handprints close together in a wing shape on a grey sheet of cardstock. Blue would also be nice.
  • Cut two very thin strips from the same color as the hands and glue to the top of the rectangle strip for antennae.
  • Then, glue the strip over the wrists of the handprints.
  • At this point, you can curl the ends of the antennae with your fingers. Then adhere googly eyes.
  • Now, punch circles using the different sizes of hole punches. We used the same color as the strip and a different color, too. But get creative!
  • Glue the circles on the wings.
  • Finish your beautiful spring keepsake butterfly by drawing a simple mouth with the black pen.
